APRIL 23RD, 2016 UPDATE - SOUL
So I haven't done enough for this part of me either. I read the entire Bhagavad Gita last weekend, and I'm done with that for now. Just yesterday, I picked up a couple books from the Library: Gandhi's Book of Prayers and a translation of The Ramayana. I began reading both a while back, but I never finished. I can progress through Gandhi's prayers each morning, but the Ramayana may have to wait. I have a lot of other books I'd like to read, and I don't even know if I can keep up with those due to my lack of time management and all the upcoming tests. Meditation is something I should definitely be doing more, so I have to schedule times of day when I can meditate. Meditation isn't something you can "get good" at, it's a practice that has an infinite range of skill development. Mindfulness isn't a threshold, it's a continuum like many other practice, so hopefully I can be mindful of that and develop the habit. My religious development is pretty slow right now - I haven't had enough time to delve into other religions as deeply as I have in Hinduism and Buddhism - so hopefully I'll pick it up right after I graduate.
